The following is an excerpt from the book
TOLERANCE - Close set eyes versus wide set \eyes
Tolerance is one of the most important personality traits. It indicates the timing of the emotional response and reaction in the moment. Tolerance has nothing to do with impatience. Rather, it indicates how long an individual will put up with a situation before they respond. How much he or she will let things deviate from the way they should be done before doing something about it. This trait is determined by the spacing of the eyes. Individuals with close-set eyes will react to situations more quickly and will want to work by the rules. Wide-set-eyed individuals are extremely tolerant and laid back.
High Tolerant individuals (wide-set eyes), are more permissive, both of themselves and of others. They appear to be very easy going and have a tendency to put things off until tomorrow. They often put up with situations for too long and need to set more boundaries. People tend to take advantage of their good nature. They come across as being very relaxed. Individuals with this trait almost welcome interruptions. If their friends or client’s arrive late for an appointment this does not tend to bother them. Because of their laid back attitude, these individuals tend to be very popular. They are easier to work with. This trait is often seen in political and business leaders, and in careers where the individual needs to handle or oversee a number of ongoing projects.
When working with High Tolerant people, make it known that they need to complete the project on time. Let them know why the project is important and the consequences of delaying its completion. Create benchmarks. This will help them to stay focused. When individuals with this trait are late, try not to snap or glare at them. Find out what you can do together to speed up the process.
Individuals with this trait tend to get easily distracted and take on too many projects at once. They over extend themselves and consequently find themselves running late for appointments because they want to do "just one more thing" before they leave their homes or offices. Their friends and associates may see them as unreliable when, in fact, they are really trying to fit in too many things at the last moment. Their challenge is to stay focused on what they are doing and not get caught up with unrelated projects or activities.
The close set eyes are often seen in professional tennis and squash players, golf, baseball or any sport where focus is extremely important throughout the game.
Quotes from readers ... the book is richly informative. I now have a better understanding of my clients and how to best approach them. A. Ratcliffe.
Of all the face reading books I have read, this has been the most useful and amazingly accurate. J.Dunn.
